You are quite right Tony. Catriona was also astonished at the inexplicable placing of a 20th century Masterpiece in the equivalent of a bed recess. But it is a massplaced masterpiece, an observation made by so many you’d think the folk who decide these things would reconsider. That said, one sign of an enduring masterpiece is it defies its surrounding and still speaks powerfully.
