The transience of flowers,
the ebb and flow of the sea,
the fluidity of a living community,
the changing context of the church;
faith, then, is embracing the transience,
accepting the ebb and flow,
adjusting to the fluidity,
and adapting to the changes
of a life lived seeking to follow faithfully after Christ.
