Our hope is that the Spirit
of Life will rekindle a Theology of Hope,
affirming and celebrating God in Creation,
so
that as the Church in the Power of the Spirit, we may follow the
Way of Jesus Christ, The Crucified God,
celebrating and living in the
Trinity and the Kingdom of God as we await the Coming of God.

This works really well for me. And the smug bit of me wants to say that I have read some of most of the moltmann titles but as with Ruth, it’s a while ago except the Coming of God which I used as the basis for a preaching series last year on Christian hope (along with other books). The prayer I need to pray is how do I allow Moltmann’s insights to shape my discipleship.

We come to you ‘God in Creation’ as ‘The Open Church,’ give us a ‘Passion for God’s Reign’ seeking to make ‘The Gospel of Liberation’ the ‘The Source of Life,’ that is ‘Jesus Christ for Today’s World,’ the ‘Power of the Powerless;’’ ‘The Experiment Hope’ for ‘The Future of Creation.’ Amen
