The theological impact of a comma

Nicholas Lash again, and once again structured for slowed down reading:

God's utterance lovingly gives life;
gives all life,
all unfading freshness;
gives only life,
and peace, and love,
and beauty, harmony and joy.

And the life God gives
is nothing other,
nothing less,
than God's own self.
Life is God,
given.

Nicholas Lash, Believing Three Ways in One God (London:SCM, 1992), 104

That last four word sentence with the theologically determined comma. Brilliant!
